My garden is dead. Such a successful growing season. Spinach, carrots, beets, eggplants, cucumbers, green beans, okra, jalapeños, tomatoes and 1 broccoli! I am feeling so grateful for all the time spent outdoors. For a new found love/obsession with Okra. For a good use of our expansive yard.

The plan ^

The execution – these beds are more esthetically pleasing than the wooden raised beds I used to have but not durable @ all.

The worst/cutest helper I’ve ever had.

So much spinach this spring. Never would have eaten that much spinach if it hadn’t been right outside the front door.

Birthplace of most of my yoga playlists this spring/early summer

I’ll miss all of the delicious veggies. It’s worth the effort every single year. The garden is dead – and that time I spent outdoors in meditation, working with my hands has also ended. I’m still finding my fall rhythm – the ways I can shift that stillness, presence and meditative state indoors.
In all of life’s chaos and changing seasons I choose to show up for myself, my mind and my body. Here are a few fall things I’ve been makin’ so that I can feel good about myself and *some* of my decisions.

Dates + Maca Powder + Walnuts + Vanilla + Cinnamon – and I’m not going to say/can’t say with a straight face “date balls” so I’ll workshop a name.

The last of the garden jalapeños + tomatoes

Avocado + sourdough. I got my neighbors into sourdough and now we have a neighborhood bakery all the way out here :’)

Not even a parasite can stop me from having caesar wraps. The natural foods store hasn’t let me down – yet.
